Dr. Kirsten Murphy is a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She grew up in both Southern California and Colorado. Wanting to become a veterinarian from an early age, she spent many hours with her "zoo" of personal pets including cats, dogs, horses, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, frogs, and fish.
After completing her last year of veterinary school she volunteered doing surgery for the Humane Society. She ultimately couldn't stay away from Southern California and returned to Orange County and has honed her skills in general medicine and surgery. Dr. Murphy worked in Irvine, Tustin, and Orange for 12 years prior to joining Orange Canyon Pet Clinic in March of 2018. Her professional interests include surgery, oncology, and animal behavior.
Dr. Murphy lives in Orange with her husband, three kids, and their furry four-legged friends which includes 3 dogs (2 French Bulldogs and a Lab), 4 cats, and 3 horses. When Dr. Murphy isn't working or playing with the kids, she enjoys gardening, sewing (she makes her own dog costumes for Halloween), and travelling the world. Some of her favorite places include Egypt, China, Italy, and the Greek Isles.
“As a practice owner, I'm thrilled to offer high quality, progressive veterinary medicine using state of the art equipment and excellent customer service to a community I love.”
Dr. Cassidy Jackson has been on the veterinary staff at Orange Canyon Pet Clinic since 2020 and has been a practicing veterinarian since 2015. She was born and raised in Southern California, and obtained her Bachelors of Science with an emphasis in genetics from the University of California Irvine. Subsequently, she graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with high honors and completed her clinical year training at Virginia Maryland School of Veterinary Medicine.
During veterinary school, Dr. Jackson had the opportunity to study abroad in South Africa with the Vets in the Wild program. Dr. Jackson learned about the role of veterinarians with the conservation efforts in South Africa. Dr. Jackson was responsible for case management and field work-ups with various wildlife species including, giraffes, zebras, and elephants.
As part of the veterinary team at Orange Canyon Pet Clinic, Dr. Jackson has continued her emphasis in preventative medicine, genetic health testing, non-invasive diagnostic imaging, and soft tissue surgery. She has also maintained a strong interest in the management of our senior patients to help make their golden years as comfortable as possible. She enjoys educating both our clients and team members. She prides herself in providing the best possible care for all our clients’ pets and strengthening the human-animal-bond.
When Dr. Jackson has time to relax, she loves spending time in Lake Havasu boating and off-roading in her Jeep. You can also find her competing in American Kennel Club events such as Conformation, Obedience, and Agility with her Dalmatians, Hunter and Gram. Dr. Jackson is an avid soccer and volleyball player and loves to travel but admits she will never say no to a Netflix marathon.
“I’m thrilled to join Dr Murphy to offer high quality medicine, surgery, and preventive care for your pets while keeping you up to date on the latest veterinary treatments and advancements.”
